Cotton Yoga Rug
A natural surface for your yoga practice
Handwoven in India from 100% cotton, this yoga rug combines a dense, substantial weave with cotton’s natural ability to absorb moisture. Suitable for Ashtanga and other yoga practices, particularly when you want a surface that absorbs perspiration and whose grip can improve as the cotton becomes slightly damp.
Place it over your regular yoga mat for added comfort and the pleasant feel of cotton beneath your hands and feet. After practice, fold or roll it for storage or transport. Machine washable at 40°C.

How to use your rug
Place the cotton rug over your regular yoga mat, which helps keep it in place and provides additional cushioning. Start your practice on the rug or lay it out once you begin to perspire. For more grip at the beginning of practice, lightly mist the surface with water.
Take your practice with you
Fold the rug into your bag for the studio, a retreat or a holiday. Use it over a yoga mat at your destination, or pair it with a thin travel mat to bring a familiar practice surface wherever you go.
Washing and care
Machine wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Wash separately, as colours may bleed. Use a gentle spin and carefully reshape after washing. Hang to dry over a thick drying rail rather than a thin clothesline, which can leave a pronounced crease in the heavy cotton weave. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Cotton may shrink during washing, and colours may fade over time. Allow the rug to dry completely before storing.

Storage
Once completely dry, fold or roll the rug and store it in a dry place. Do not place a damp rug directly on wooden floors.
